NIKECAPSULE COLLECTION 2024This project reimagines Nike’s Be True line as a capsule collection that celebrates diversity and individuality. Each design pairs the bold “BE TRUE” wordmark and swoosh with an illustrated character representing different communities and identities. Color-matched swooshes and backgrounds unify the collection, while showing both black and white shirt options highlights how the designs adapt across product variations.
By presenting each piece as both a product mockup and a hero visual, the project demonstrates how the collection could live beyond merchandise, carrying into campaign storytelling and rollout. REFLECTIONDesigning this capsule taught me how to balance brand minimalism with expressive illustration. The key was integration: giving the characters equal presence alongside the Nike identity transformed the work from mockups into something that feels like real merchandise.
It also reinforced the power of presentation. Introducing campaign-style visuals, color-matched backdrops, and product variety elevated the work, making it read as a cohesive collection rather than single prints. The result is a concept that feels true to Nike’s voice while expanding on what “Be True” can mean.
