BUBBLE BOYPACKAGING DESIGN 2023Bubble Boy Sparkling Water is a conceptual packaging design project that reimagines flavored sparkling water as bold, playful, and unapologetically vibrant. Each flavor, Smoked Pear, Watermelon Punch, and Banana Cream, was given its own identity through color, illustration, and typography. The brand voice is loud, energetic, and slightly irreverent, inviting consumers into a refreshing world that feels more like streetwear than grocery aisle. This project explores how expressive visuals can position a beverage as a lifestyle brand. MOODBOARD & EARLY SKETCHESThe visual foundation for Bubble Boy drew from playful fruit textures, underwater light refractions, and sparkling, fizzy energy. The goal was to capture the refreshing, vibrant personality of the brand in a way that feels bold, colorful, and irresistible.
The initial sketches explored bold lettering styles, playful bubble motifs, and fruit elements to test how the brand identity could translate onto packaging. These early studies established the foundation for a vibrant system that balances clarity with personality.. The typography is playful and fluid, with colors and illustrations directly inspired by the ingredients: banana cream in sunny yellows, smoked pear in cool greens and blues, and watermelon punch in bold reds and pinks.
By treating each can as both a product and a piece of branding, the system works across individual SKUs while remaining unmistakably part of the Bubble Boy family.
